The company is taking on an additional role in helping customers avoid the misconception that if their grid goes down having solar, will still power the house. This is WRONG most solar inverters require a grid feed to activate the system. If the power goes down so does your system, unless you have a battery backup system installed which is expensive. This includes your well pump unless it is on a separate system which we are now offering.
It’s important to realize even solar flares can disrupt power grids, not to mention the possibility of rolling blackouts. We as individuals can only survive in the desert for three days without starting to feel the effects of dehydration. So why not save money on your electricity bill (Which costs between $25 minimum to $250 per month to run, depending on the usage). Simply by installing a solar power well system that provides water regardless of the grid going down and saving you money.
It does not provide water during the night unless you install battery storage for nighttime pumping. Otherwise, our system reverts to the grid at night automatically. We are looking forward to helping well owners save money, have peace of mind, they will have water even if only during the day, should the grid fail.

News Update 11/16/2023
Since the new ordinance is allowing tiny home villages in Nye County (See Starter Home Page to review the ordinance) Affordable Sheds has been meeting with various government and nongovernment agencies to work out the basic requirements as well as looking into funding grants and other potential supporting elements need to build its first village..
Affordable Sheds is also potentially looking into starting a new entity LLC in order to build larger units as a B2 License will be required (state contractors board). ASC is dedicated to helping those in need and serving the community. We have major low-income issues and homeless people within the valley and surrounding areas of Nye County who need accommodation and a fresh start.

GREAT NEWS: Finally some progress on the tiny home front for affordable housing, new Nye County ordinance allows basically 13 homes per acre parcels with a minimum application area of 5 acres. ASC is already looking for a parcel of land to begin the process of talking to local non-profit organizations to help vets as well as low-income individuals and families.

At affordable sheds the company is pleased to announce that in two months the company will have reached its two-year mark in business, providing quality work. It has been a learning curve using new methods and techniques to attain the highest standards for our customers.
The company is looking seriously into potential partnerships to build custom tiny homes up to 800 square feet, we may potentially in the new year look for a GC partnership to enable larger scale community designs and development utilizing our panel system designed for rural areas.

Looking to Grow July 8th, 2023
The company has finally prepared its accredited investor offering circular to raise up to $1,000,000 for the sole purpose of expanding the development of its work force housing program, so desperately needed in Nye County. The company has one model presently and is looking into other floor plans in the coming months.
The company intends to research land options both in Pahrump and the rest of Nye County to purchase or joint venture with. The company feels with it JIG panel system with correct funding could begin building by the end of august again subject to funding.

The Affordable Shed Company adopts a new tree program initiative, with every shed purchased 10 new trees will be planted. The company has always felt it should be replacing the natural resources we all use. The company has three greenhouses on the property ideal for the initial growth of seedlings. After the seedling establishes themselves, they will be planted on the 5 acres of land owned by the owners of the company. We hope this will be one more reason why to choose the affordable shed company when purchasing your next shed or home office.

This allows for more speed on installation time on jobs sites and easy transportation to a job site allowing the installation crews easy assembly and completion. It also brings more quality control, and structural integrity is increased, making our shed better quality for the money than many other standards shed companies.
